So, I find myself intrigued by the "Adult Colouring" craze that some of my very creative friends are raving about...
As I'm not good at art (a D grade at school for drawing a circle outline and writing 10 on it trying to pass it off as a life drawing of a 10p piece), I thought I'd buy a Colour By Numbers book to start me off. It's all very "Zen" don't you know?
Well, except it's not if you have even the slightest OCD tendencies...
First you have to ENSURE your pencils stay in perfect order or else who knows what colour you'll pick up when you need to colour in number 6.
THEN you have to get over the issue of needing to colour just slightly past the line or else the yellow unsightly guideline will show through.
On top of that, if you're colouring in a light colour then the guide number still shows through - the telltale sign to all that this art wasn't entirely my own making!
Finally, and what really takes the biscuit, is that after dilligently following the guide numbers, colouring slightly over the line even though it makes me shiver with horror, AND having due diligence with my pencil line-up, It doesn't even look like the picture on the pack!
